I'm writing in praise of Merridawn Duckler. I just finished her fall short-story workshop (I also took a two-day class from her previously.) I have been to the Clarion West and Tin House workshops and I can say that Merridawn is one of the best writing instructors I have ever encountered. It was a privilege to sit in her class and hear her take a story apart and put it back together without bruising the daintiest ego. I was looking for a way to reignite my writing career and in these two classes Merridawn lit a fire under me. She is a gem and you should do everything you can to keep this insightful, positive, and wise woman at the Attic.
