Register for a Class

We try make the registration process easy & streamlined so that if the class you want is available, you can get signed up & secure your spot quickly. Should you have any special questions or needs, please feel free to contact Jill Elliott at jill@atticwritersworkshop.com.

Here's how it works:

Step One: Register for the class or classes you want by filling out the form below.

 Step Two: We'll respond by e-mail with information about your registration, including class availability & how to pay the workshop fee. If you don't hear back within two days, please feel free to double-check via e-mail. Write to jill@atticwritersworkshop.com.

 Step Three: Once you've paid the workshop fee by U.S. mail (4232 SE Hawthorne Blvd. Portland, OR 97215) or via PayPal (we'll send you the link) we'll send you an email confirming your place in the workshop.

Step Four: Finally, you pay the remainder of the fee directly to the instructor on the first class.

Deposits for classes at the Attic are non-refundable. You are only confirmed for a class after you've made your deposit and have received a confirmation from us that we've received your deposit.

Cancelled Classes: When we cancel a class we will either refund your deosit or work with you to find another class that suits your interests. You can use your deposit for a workshop during the same term or a future term. Banked deposits must be used within one year of issue.

There are no refunds for canceling part way through a class. Instructors do not refund fees after the second class.

Withdrawal from a class before the 2nd class meeting for extenuating, personal circumstances: Please contact us to see if we can help you work something out. We may be able to place you in a workshop in a later session.There is a $25 administration fee for transferring your registration to a future class.

A note about children and teenagers: On ocassion we've allowed a young person to join the class, but we don't encourage it except for the most exceptional cases. Call to discuss first.
