"I wanted to wanted to thank you for the session with Liz Rusch last Friday. It was wonderful, terrific, hugely helpful, constructive, informative, clear, encouraging and more!: This was so much more than I had hoped I would gain from the experience. This is a great service for the Attic to provide! And, Liz Rusch is so good at it." --  Pam Ledbetter, children's book consultation

Good god!: I can't imagine writing without Merridawn Duckler."  --  Hilary Meehan, fiction writing consultation

My book is much stronger: "The manuscript consultation from the Attic was incredibly helpful. Not only did I get a much clearer picture of the strengths and weaknesses of my manuscript, but it was a pleasure and very inspirational working with someone who took my writing seriously and took the time to give me practical, useful advice. Coming out of the process I feel like my book is much stronger, much fuller, and much closer to what I want it to be."  -- Todd Cobb, fiction writing consultation

An editor who reads my work closely and finds what is real and intended:  "When the writer is ready the editor will come. To work individually with an Attic editor matches me with someone who understands and loves writing and, very importantly, connects with my writing. After taking Attic classes while I lived in Portland I had to move away to find a job, but could not find anyone to work with on my writing. The Attic started its consulting program and I signed up to be assigned an editor who reads my work closely and finds what is real and intended. I continue to learn as I continue to write. The entire experience is amazing."  -- Carol Ellis, poetry consultation

Not only was Cindy Williams Gutierrez, my editor, eager to be of assistance, she was extremely knowledgeable and encouraging:  "I found the Attic's manuscript consultation quite helpful while applying to MFA programs and trying to perfect my writing sample. Not only was Cindy, my editor, eager to be of assistance, she was extremely knowledgeable and encouraging. The comments I received in this process assisted not only with fine tuning my poetry, but also with major dramatic, structural, and comprehensibility issues. It was extremely helpful to have another person's point of view; I was able to step outside of myself more with comments from someone I did not know and had not worked with previously."  -- Corey Van Landingham, poetry consultation
